VIKING DRINKING HORN MUGThese genuine handmade cow horn drinking horn tankards on average hold a capacity of 600ml. No two horns are ever the same, products vary in shape, texture and colour. The engraving has been done by hand.Drinking horns range in colour from almost completely black, to ivory colour to shades of brown. Care: Horns sometimes have a funny smell when you first get it, this is normal for a natural horn product, if so, leave soaking in some water for a few hours. You should clean thoroughly with soap and water before using. When washing, if possible, avoid fully submerging the mug and wetting the wooden base as it takes time for the (external) wood to fully dry. These drinking horn mugs have been sealed on the inside with a food-grade lacquer.NOTE: Although rare, it is possible for these to be bumped and damaged in transit, it is important to view and check your mug for any damage in transit/leaks and report to us ASAP, we suggest filling it with some water to test for leaks. It is very difficult to make an insurance claim if you contact us weeks later and say there is a problem. If it arrives damaged it must be taken to your nearest Australia Post outlet for an inspection for an insurance claim to be processed.Height: approximately 14-15cm Diameter: 8-9cmIncluded in the package:1 X drinking horn mug.Why are our drinking horns better?Light coloured horns will have the engraving filled in with black ink/paint and darker coloured horns will have the engraving filled in with white ink/paint. This makes the engraving significantly more noticeable than if left just engraved only. It’s only a minor detail but 90% of sellers don’t bother with this. The drinking horn should be cleaned and dried after use. Not suitable for hot drinks e.g coffee or microwave. Avoid dishwasher.
