Description Strips of veg tan horse butt leather. Sold by the pound, these leather strips average about 1.3 pounds, or about 2.5-3 square feet. Thickness gauges at 7-8 oz (just under 1/8″). With an especially tight grain, and high resistance to wear, making them ideal for making knife sheaths. Imperfections like stretch marks and scratches are possible.
