I have put off doing this review until I could gather a calm sense of fairness. I have been ordering from Montana Leather for several years and were pleased in the past with the quality of leather. With that being said my last two orders have been unacceptable, I ordered “A” sides of Herman Oak at a premium price and expect “A” side quality. What I have recieved the last two orders was what I would consider Tannery Run quality as a class A side. One side I just recieved has 2 butcher cuts in the middle of the hide and it’s dirty. Yes when I submit this review I will be contacted to exchange it. The problem with that is I need the material for a custom order and can’t wait. So I have come to the conclusion that the quality of service that apparently has become the norm at Montana Leather does no longer suit my needs. I can order from different suppliers and get the same at a substantial less cost. It’s a shame because they used to be a very good supplier for me. I am sure I am not the only one who has these issues and I know hides are not perfect, but when you pay a premium price for a clean side that’s what you should recieve and not have to return it because it’s bad. I hope others find this helpful in thier consideration of future purchases. My other review is from March 2024, not the first one I have had issues with.
